Josie Verdugo Hernandez

Josie Verdugo Hernandez, 16, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025 at her home in Lexington.

Born December 5, 2009 in Lexington, she was a member of the Class of 2028 at Tates Creek High School and attended Ashland Avenue Baptist Church. Josie loved art and music, and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her parents, Angelica Verdugo Hernandez & Salvador Uribe; a brother, Angel Uribe; and 5 sisters: Leslie Lopez, Vianca Verdugo Hernandez, Patricia Uribe, Kristina Uribe & Anna Uribe, along with a large extended family.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 29thf at Ashland Avenue Baptist Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Josie’s family will serve as casketbearers.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
