Rickey Keith Jones

Rickey Keith “Squirrel” Jones, 75, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026 at his home in Lexington.

Born December 24, 1950 in Carlisle, Kentucky to the late Frank & Emma Berryman Jones, Rickey loved working on cars, riding motorcycles & listening to music. He was family oriented and enjoyed family gatherings. To Rickey, family was defined by more than blood, and he was the beloved "Papaw" of many.

Surviving are his sons: Justin Keith (Nickie) Jones, Ricky Michael Jones, Shane Hill & Duane (Jonna) Hill; his daughters, Nichole Marie Jones & Addyson Starr Jones; his brother, Ronnie Jones; his sisters, Alpha Jane Harrington & Evelyn Jones; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his best friend Chico; and a special friend, Cynthia Shell.

Also preceding him in death were 8 brothers and sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 2:00-4:00 P.M. on Saturday January 24th at Great Crossing Funeral & Cremation.

Cremation will take place following the gathering.
